Doc McStuffins

"OK Guys, it's time to get to work we have a new patient!"

She's six, sassy, and smart! Meet Doc McStuffins.

"I can't pop the way I usually do, that's why you're here to see the doc my boy, she'll figure out what's wrong with you"."

Doc McStuffins is Disney Junior's newest series which helps kids get over their fear of the doctor.  You see, "Doc" can talk to stuffed animals and toys and they can talk to her...especially when they need a stitch or a bandage that will help their boo boo.

Hi Little Jack I want to help you so you will pop up like you use to".

Creator Chris Nee says: I hope for parents it's a way to bring up certain topics especially preventative ones, I'm a parent myself and its hard to remind your kids to wash their hands brush their teeth we do this with a sense of humor and great songs bring up conversations for parents to have with their kids.

As parents we all struggle with the right words when it comes to talking with our kids about behavior, development & staying healthy.  And when you're child is younger, it's even harder! Explaining why they have to have a check up is not easy!

"I think he's afraid to get a check up. Are you little guy? I never had one before.  It's OK everyone gets a little scared".

Chris Nee says she hopes the show will help demystify medicine for kids and take the anxiety out of visiting their own favorite doctor.

"I think it's the fact that they are not experienced with it that the tools in a doctors office can seem scary.  Those are the things we can take a little bit of the sting out of. Because they are going to know they are going to have someone listen to their heart, someone use a blood pressure cuff because they would have seen all of that on the show".

I must say, you and your kids can learn a lot from this pint-sized powerhouse, I know I did. Doc McStuffins is your child's prescription for healthy fun!
