(SPRINGFIELD) ---Visitors to Nathaniel Greene Park in southwest Springfield get the chance to step back in time Sunday.

The 21st annual 1860's Lifestyle Expo gives people a chance to tour the oldest house in Springfield while enjoying handcrafted goods and homemade snacks.

Organizers say the expo helps preserve  old traditions so they can be passed on to the next generation.

"Things that we learn to do and make with our hands are beginning to be a lost art," says event coordinator Michelle Atkinson, "We think it's relevant to our time period because we still need to learn to take care of ourselves and we don't want anyone to forget."

Live music played throughout the day and people could watch many demonstrations including how to make apple butter , lace, homemade sausage and blacksmithing.
