Hardy Sent to Prison for 14 Years

A man who became well known after eluding Springfield police for weeks is going to prison.
Robert Hardy, 27, was sentenced to a total of 14 years in prison on several charges of assaulting a police officer and escape from custody.
Hardy was arrested in 2005 for a disturbance at Doling Park in Springfield.
After officers took Hardy to Cox North Hospital to be evaluated, he escaped through a window and was on the loose for weeks before being captured in Arkansas.
