Man Convicted of Convenience Store Robbery

(Springfield, MO) -- A convenience store robbery could send a man to jail for more than a decade.
During a bench trial Tuesday in Greene County circuit court, Maurice C. Richardson, 28, was found guilty by the judge hearing the case.
Prosecutors say Richardson used a weapon to rob a Fast 'n Friendly store on North Kansas Expressway.
The judge found him guilty of first degree robbery and resisting arrest. Formal sentencing is scheduled next Februrary.
