Forum Today on Immigrant Hiring

A recent illegal immigrant raid at a southwest Missouri processing plant has many area business owners paying closer attention to the people they hire.
A public forum today, hosted by the Springfield Area Chamber of Commerce, hopes to clear up any confusion about hiring practices regarding immigrants.
A U.S. Immigration and Citizenship Services official will tell employers how to make sure they're hiring legal workers. There will also be information about the various forms of work visas and how to apply for them.
Today's forum takes place at 10:00 am at the Chamber on John Q. Hammons Parkway.
