SPRINGFIELD, Mo. -- The heaviest precipitation yet of the winter storm moving across the Ozarks, is hitting the Springfield-Branson area between 6 and 8 am.
Bob Edwards with the Missouri Department of Transportation says salt trucks were out all night in the region, spreading salt down under the sleet.
But he expects conditions to become slick again, with the latest round of freezing rain.
