SPRINGFIELD, Mo--The Missouri State Lady Bears will be the next to step on the JQH Arena hardwood.
The Lady Bears will open a two game homestand Thursday night against Southern Illinois.
And Missouri State will be trying to snap a three game losing streak.
The Lady Bears will be looking for a season sweep of the struggling Saluki team.
Southern Illinois is 4-19 this season and will limp into the Q on a ten game losing streak.
They had a coaching change midseason and are reeling, but the Lady Bears say they can't take anything for granted.
"Everybody in the conference knows that when we play up to our potential we can be a very scary team," said Lady Bears guard Tyonna Snow. "So I think everybody comes out with the fire to beat us from the jump. Everybody wants to come out and start out really well.."
"I know their record doesn't show it," said Lady Bears coach Nyla Milleson. "But they have good pieces. Those kids and that staff have been through a lot of turmoil and certainly they're a team that's capable. If we don't have Lady Bear effort it could be a long night for us."
