Shannon Chats with Dominic Monaghan About His New Show

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. -- Dominic Monaghan, known for his roles in Lost and Lord of the Rings, joined Ozarks Live! Monday to chat about his latest endeavor.

Monaghan's new show "Wild Things With Dominic Monaghan" airs on BBCAmerica Tuesdays at 9 p.m.

Now when we hear about stars making it big, we always hear about them buying a race car, or a big house. But not Dominic! He bought a forest!

"I found out how much carbon I was using over the course of a year," he told Shannon. "And that particular year, I was flying in planes and doing quite a bit of traveling so I realized that I had used a forest's worth. So I went out and bought a forest in India. In Bangalore. It is actually a mango tree plantation. That was it. I bought it, I left it to the people to run it. And as far as I know, they grow mangoes, sell mangoes, then plant more mango trees. And it continues to grow which is great. Love mangoes. My favorite fruit."
