'ZOOper Bowl Weekend' Benefits Ozarks Food Harvest

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. -- The Dickerson Park Zoo is cutting admission in half this weekend to help out the Ozarks Food Harvest

The second annual "ZOOper Bowl Weekend" will be held Saturday and Sunday, February 2 and 3, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

During that time, the zoo will offer half-price admission for anyone who brings along two non-perishable food items. Suggested donations include: tuna and other canned meats, peanut butter, soups and stews, beans, canned vegetables and fruit, and boxed pasta meals.

All donations must have a label and cannot be expired, dented or damaged. Glass containers will not be accepted.
