SPRINGFIELD, Mo. -- The Missouri Sports Hall of Fame inducted its class of 2013 on Sunday.
The class is made up of 16 former athletes and coaches.
Headlining this year's class a couple of ball players.
Long-time Royal Mike Sweeney was there.
Sweeney came up with Kansas City in 1995 and played 13 of his 16 big league seasons as a Royal.
He had a life time batting average of .297, hit 215 homers and drove in 909 runs.
Sweeney was a five-time All-Star.
One of the most inspiring Cardinals of all time was also inducted -- shortstop David Eckstein.
Despite his 5-foot-6 frame, Eckstein played a decade in the big leagues and three great years with St. Louis, becoming the World Series MVP in 2006.
Long time Chiefs fullback Tony Richardson was also inducted.

And in college basketball, both Missouri State teams bring home victories.
The Bears beat Drake in a Missouri Valley matchup, 78 to 72. And the Lady Bears win 79 to 72 over Southern Illinois.
