Lake Taneycomo Levels to Drop

Empire District Electric Company says the water at Taneycomo will begin to drop in preparation for replacing flashboards at Powersite Dam.
The flashboards were removed back in August so additional water could be released from Table Rock Dam.
Because of record rainfall, the gates at Table Rock were opened to release the excess water.
The levels at Taneycomo are expected to drop to a little over 696 feet by Wednesday night and then begin to refill.
