NIXA, Mo. -- Many area teams are prepping for holiday tournaments, including the Blue + Gold.
Nixa is the No. 2 team in Class 5, and the No. 1 seed in the Blue Division, hosting Kickapoo Tuesday.
Missouri State signee Austin Ruder buries a three to open the game.
Then he feeds his brother, Jacob, for a bucket down low to make it 5-0. Jacob Ruder had 13 points.
Nixa opened on a 10-0 run, but Chris Ward finds Parker Dean to make it 10-2.
Their best shooter, Tyler Bussell cans a three and it's 10-5.
Ruder extends Nixa's lead to 12-5 after putting the ball on the deck and scoring.
Then swished a fade away jumper to make it 14-5. He had 20 points as Nixa won, 67-51.

SPRINGFIELD, Mo -- Ranked 7th in Class 5 and still sporting a clean 6-0 record the Parkview Vikings hosting Ozark Tigers tonight.

In the second, Jakob Neidig hits the three. Tigers up 29-23 in the second.
Later, Erik Durham, waits, finds the lane, pulls up. It's 29-25 Ozark still leads.
Tigers on the boards next possession. Korbin Evans gets the rebound, then with the tough put back. Puts Ozark up 31-25.
Then just before the half. Erik Durham with the three, off the mark, A.J. Green flies in, tips it in, buzzer sounds.It's 31-30 at the half.
The Vikings would just edge out the Tigers 51-50.

Thomas Whitaker with the transition bucket and it's 2-0 Hornets.
Whitaker again here and it's 4-0.
Willard on the board with a Kolbe Kinghorn, 4-2
Hillcrest gets it to Roy Hardy for a three and it's 7-2.
More Kinghorn as he makes it 7-4.
Whitaker with the up-and-under to make it 9-4. He had 23.
Brady Petry buries a three to make it 14-9 and Hillcrest wins 57-44.

And the Missouri State Bears were back in action in Alabama Tuesday night, trying to snap a losing streak.
But it was not to be. Alabama A&M comes away with the win, defeating the Bears 59-47.
