State climatologist Pat Guinan writes in his latest update for the University of Missouri that 95 percent of the state remains in a condition of moderate to severe drought.
Guinan says most of the state is still up to ten inches of precipitation below the yearly average, and soil moisture conditions are still bad.
Guinan writes that November was abnormally warm and dry. He also writes that winter is a typically dry season in Missouri.
