Cancer Patient Artwork on Display This Week at Mercy

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. -- A new exhibit is on display at Mercy Hospital this week.

The Lilly Oncology on Canvas Art Exhibition has made its way to Springfield.

The free, traveling exhibit features art from all over the United States and Puerto Rico, all done by people who are diagnosed with some type of cancer.

The art explores themes such as fear, hope and loss. So far, the exhibit has received more than 3,600 entries.

The exhibit will be open November 12-16, from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. in the north entrance of Mercy Hospital (1235 East Cherokee Street). Art will also be displayed at the Mercy C.H. "Chub" O'Reilly Cancer Center, Mercy Smith Glynn Callaway Clinic lobby, and Mercy Whiteside Clinic's fifth floor.
