Springfield Donut Shop Employee Turns Away Would-be Robber

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. -- A would-be robber walked into a Springfield donut shop only to run off without any loot.

Around 1:30 p.m., police say a white male in his twenties, wearing a green hoodie, demanded cash from St. George's Donuts at 3628 East Sunshine Street.

The man didn't have a weapon. He's described as 5'8" tall with short black hair.

Police say the woman working the counter simply said "no" and demanded that he leave. And that's what he did, without any money.
