ST. LOUIS -- Post season baseball has returned to St. Louis, as the Cards took on the Washington Nationals in the National League Division Series Sunday afternoon at Busch Stadium.

47,078 fans showed up for Game One. Unfortunately, they saw the Cardinals lose 3-2 in the best-of-five series.

Sunday's early start gave Missouri State student Karen Kline a chance to drive up I-44 and see her beloved Cardinals.

"I decided last night. A friend and I were talking and considering coming, and my mom called and said do you want to get tickets? I said of course. So we drove down last night and we're going to drive back tonight," Kline says.  "I'm really excited. I think the Nationals are a good team. It's exciting to see former Springfield Cardinals like Sam Freeman, Trevor Rosenthal, and Matt Carpenter come in and contribute to help get us to the postseason."

The Cardinals will host the Nationals again Monday afternoon, and then go to Washington D.C. for potentially three more games.
