Teresa Hensley Democrat
Teresa Hensley is from Raymore, Missouri. She was appointed as Prosecuting Attorney for Cass County in January 2005, Hensley was elected in November of 2006 and again in 2010.
Before becoming Cass County Prosecutor, Hensley was a partner and practicing attorney for fourteen years with the Hensley Law Firm in Raymore, a firm she started with her husband, Kenny.
She recently received the 2010 Missouri Attorney General's Justice Award for Domestic Violence Prevention.
Hensley instituted a safety-training program for women, sponsors local concealed carry classes.
A life-long resident of Cass County, Hensley has served as a Raymore Alderman, Raymore Planning and Zoning Board member, and member of the Missouri Child Abuse and Neglect Review Board. She is a life-long member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church.
A supporter of 2nd Amendment rights, she has received an A rating from the NRA.
Hensley graduated from Raymore-Peculiar High School before earning her undergraduate degree from William Jewell College and a law degree from the University of Missouri Kansas City.
She grew up in Cass County where her parents and family still reside. She and her husband Kenny have one son, Frank, age 29. All are diehard MU fans.
