UPDATE: Benton Co. Deputy Charged with Sexually Victimizing Foster Child

Benton Co, Mo -- The Missouri State Highway Patrol confirms a Benton County Deputy has been arrested for victimizing a child.
According to court documents the case filed Friday against 49-year-old Michael Cash contains two charges of First Degree Statutory Sodomy-Deviate Sexual Intercourse with a person less than 14-years-old once on August 11th of this year and again on August 31st. The same case contains another charge of child molestation. The Benton County Deputy is currently in jail in Saline County.
Court documents filed in the case (attached below) indicate Cash was the girl's former foster parent.
Cash's LinkedIn page says he has been with the Benton County Sheriff's Department for more than 9 years and serves as their D.A.R.E. officer.
D.A.R.E officers work directly with children in the community often visiting schools and community groups to speak directly to children.
