(Fayetteville, Ark.) -- Arkansas football fans hope Tyler Wilson can make a speedy recovery. Preferably by Saturday.
It appears that may not happen, meaning No. 2 quarterback Brandon Allen will have to face No. 1 Alabama this Saturday in Fayetteville.
Wilson came out of last week's loss to Louisiana-Monroe with a head injury, but got back on the practice field Wednesday.
Still it looks like Allen will be the guy.
The redshirt freshman completed just six of his 20 passes after taking over for Wilson last Saturday.
"I think Brandon's going to be fine to be honest with you," said Arkansas coach John L. Smith. "I think he's going to bounce back and he's going to prepare himself. He knows he can play the game, we know he can play the game. He needs other people around him to step up and play well as well and give him some help."
