BAXTER COUNTY, Ark. -- A Baxter County man has surrendered after running from Arkansas State Police.

Nicholas Ray Weeks, 25, of Henderson, is jailed on $51,455 bond after the incident Tuesday afternoon.

The Baxter County Sheriff's Office (BCSO) says Weeks ran from troopers who tried to arrest him at a Mountain Home shopping center.

Weeks turned himself in on Wednesday on an outstanding felony drug warrant and on state police charges stemming from the incident Tuesday.

The BCSO says its investigators had an arrest warrant for Weeks after making controlled buys of narcotic pills (Oxycodone Hydrochloride) from him in April and May. The BCSO says Weeks used a cell phone to facilitate the buys, and that at least one of them happened close to a church.

Weeks faces the following charges:

Delivery of Schedule II Controlled Substance
Distribution of Controlled Substance near Certain Facilities
Conspiracy to Manufacture a Controlled Substance
Unlawful Use of a Communications Device
Fleeing from Officer
Obstructing Governmental Operations
Criminal Impersonation in the Second Degree
Disregarding a Traffic Signal
No Proof of Liability Insurance
