Willard State Rep. Shane Schoeller Pushes for Voter ID Law

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. -- Should you have to show a photo ID to vote? Republican nominee for Secretary of State, Shane Schoeller, says yes.

He doesn't agree with the claim that would stop people from voting, pointing to recent turnouts in Kansas after the Jayhawk state implemented a photo ID law.

Many Democrats say photo voter ID laws make it hard for the poor to vote, because they may not have a driver's license.

In March, a ColeCounty judge threw out ballot language for a proposed constitutional amendment that would've required Missouri voters to produce a photo identification of some kind before being allowed to cast a ballot.

So, who's going to pay for the millions of dollars to create IDs for all the elderly and others that don't have drivers licenses? Just how many people do they think are voting illegally?
