SPRINGFIELD, Mo. -- A former Springfield man is accused of sexually abusing a child multiple times over a 12-year span.

The Greene County Prosecutor says Bobby Bartlett, 41, began having sexual contact with the victim when she was 3 years old. Over the next decade, some of the alleged crimes against the child happened at multiple addresses in Springfield.

According to court documents, Bartlett admitted to some of the crimes to Springfield Police in February 2012, while serving time for a Domestic Assault conviction. Last week, he was put on parole and transferred to Greene County Jail.

He now faces seven counts of Statutory Sodomy, three counts of Child Molestation, one count of Sexual Misconduct Involving a Child, and one count of Use of Child in Sexual Performance. He's also charged with sex crimes in Texas related to this case.

Bartlett's bond is set at $1 million. He's due in Greene County court on September 4, 2012 at 10 a.m.
