Academy Sports Gives 30 Lucky Kids a Back-to-School Shopping Spree

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. -- Another back-to-school event was also a lesson in budgeting money for local kids.

Academy Sports hosted a back-to-school donation event Thursday. It gave 30 kids from Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Ozarks a $100 gift card to buy backpacks, shoes, gym clothes and other school supplies.

During the shopping spree, the kids enjoyed the experience of choosing back-to-school items and how to budget their money.
