Deadline is July 31 to Register for State's No-Call Cell Phone List

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. -- If you want your cell phone on the state's no-call list, you better get signed up.

You only have until July 31 to register your cell number at the Attorney General's website, or by calling Chris Koster's office at 866-662-2551.

Koster says so far 175,000 Missourians have put their numbers into the state's database since June 14th. Everybody signing up by July 31 will be protected from annoying sales calls by October 1.

There will be a second sign-up period between August 1 and November 1. Those people won't be protected until January 1.
