SPRINGFIELD, Mo. -- The Missouri Career Center has a new facility in Springfield.
The new building at 2900 E. Sunshine is just a few blocks from the old building.
The new location used to be the home of a Price Cutter grocery store in the Southern Hills Shopping Center.
Workers
say the new facility is bigger and gives better flexibility for things like job
fairs. However, the changes shouldn't inconvenience those familiar with the
other building.
"We've got a temporary sign on the front of the building," says John Peiney, Interim Career Center Director. "It's a large building on the southern side shopping center. The phone numbers and everything stayed the same. We just unplugged the phones over there and plugged them in over here, so if you have a good number that you had at the old building it's the same here."
The new hours are Monday-Thursday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The center is open an hour later on Fridays from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m.
