Springfield -- Republican candidates from all over the state were in Springfield today for the Candidate Freedom Forum hosted by the group Americans for Prosperity .
The event, at the Springfield Expo Center, highlighted conservative leaders and speakers and included a post- Supreme Court decision health care policy discussion as well as a U.S. Senate and Missouri Gubernatorial candidate forum.
The public was given the chance to meet the candidates and ask them questions.
A big focus today was on what these candidates refer to as Obama care.
During the Senate Candidate forum U.S. Senate candidate Sarah Steelman said "I will vote to repeal all of Obama care- all of it. Period."
Candidate Todd Akin told the crowd "I say get rid of every last bit of it every sentence the whole thing it's no good-- get rid of it totally".
Candidate John Brunner was also slated to be there, but his staff tells us he was unable to make it due to a scheduling conflict.
