Glen Campbell Still Scheduled at Ozark Empire Fair Despite Canceling Other Appearances

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. -- Country music legend Glen Campbell is still scheduled to perform on opening day of the Ozarks Empire Fair in Springfield, although he has canceled a tour of Australia and New Zealand.
The Associated Press reports Campbell's spokesman says the August tour down under is being canceled due to health reasons.
Campbell, 76, announced several months ago he is suffering from Alzheimer's disease, but is embarking on a farewell tour while he is still able to perform.
Campbell's web site today no longer references the Australia and New Zealand dates, but still shows Campbell scheduled to appear at performances in the United States through the summer, including his show July 27 at the Ozark Empire Fair.
Current fair general manager Elvin Dunn was not immediately available to confirm it.
