Soldier from Columbia, MO Killed in Afghanistan

COLUMBIA, Mo. -- A 2009 graduate of Columbia's Rock Bridge High School has died in Afghanistan.
The Pentagon Thursday said Spc. Sterling Wyatt, 21, died Wednesday of wounds sustained when when an IED hit his vehicle in Kandahar province.
Wyatt was with the 5th Battalion, 20th Infantry Regiment, 3rd Stryker Brigade Combat Team, 2nd Infantry Division, Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Wash.
Wyatt attended First Baptist Church in Columbia where his former pastor recalls Wyatt as an active, caring member. John Baker tells CBS affiliate KRCG in Jefferson City he worked with Wyatt as he earned his God and County badge on his way to becoming an Eagle Scout.
Baker says Wyatt was also an expert marksman and black belt on tae kwon do.
Funeral arrangements have not been announced.
