SPRINGFIELD, Mo. -- If you want to help a local animal shelter this weekend, jump on a hog.

That's the advice of the women from Denney's Harley-Davidson and CARE no-kill animal rescue.

Susan Venker with CARE and Beth Stevans from Harley-Davidson joined Ozarks Local Live @ 4 Friday to talk about "HOGS for DOGS."

Registration starts at 9 a.m. Sunday, July 9, with kickstands up at 10 a.m.

Cost for the ride is $15 for the rider and $10 for the passenger and it includes the ride, lunch, and collectable HOGS for DOGS IX ride pin.

Event t-shirts will be available for $15 the day of the ride. After the ride enjoy a lunch catered by Hooters and a silent auction.

All proceeds go directly to CARE animal shelter to help the local homeless and neglected animals in the Ozarks.
