Missouri State Names Hough Interim Dean of College of Ed

(Springfield, MO)--The former dean of the College of Education at Missouri State University, is coming back to the job. 

Dr. David Hough is named interim dean of the College starting August 1.  He served as dean from 2000-2008, and will help lead efforts over the next two years to gain continued accreditation by the National Accreditation Council for Teacher Education.

He replaces Dr. Dennis J. Kear, who plans to return to the faculty in August.

According to a news release from the University, Hough has bachelor's and master's degrees from Missouri State and a doctorate from the University of California at Riverside.

Hough was on the faculty at Missouri State from 1983-1988 and from 1991 until he was hired as dean in 2000.
