Flag Day 2012: How Much Do You Know About Old Glory?

(Springfield, MO) -- Thursday was Flag Day in the U.S., and we wanted to see just how much our fellow Ozarkers know about Old Glory.

How many stripes are on the flag? How many white and how many red? How many stars?

We sent photojournalist Randy Stokes to the streets to find out who knows the answers!

In case you didn't know, Flag Day was declared by an Act of Congress and signed in 1949 by President Truman.

It commemorates the adoption of the flag of the United States, which happened that day by resolution of the Second Continental Congress in 1777. The United States Army also celebrates the Army Birthday on this date.
