(Tucson, AZ)--A status hearing on the Tucson, Arizona shooting suspect has been pushed back to early August.
Attorneys from both sides of the Jared Loughner case say they need more time to prepare.
A judge had previously set a hearing for June 27.
Monday, the judge also ordered that Loughner will remain in the U.S. Medical Center for Federal Prisoners in Springfield, Missouri at least until the hearing.
Loughner has pleaded not guilty to 49 charges stemming from the January 2011 shooting that killed six people and wounded former U.S. Rep. Gabrielle Giffords and 12 others.
