Major Tammy Spicer, the public affairs officer for the Missouri National Guard, tells KOLR/KOZL the incident happened during a training exercise in the afternoon.

The soldiers, with the 135th Signal Company from Kansas City, were working with a tactical antenna system and were shocked.

Maj. Spicer says one soldier is being treated at the Fort Leonard Wood hospital and two were taken to Mercy Hospital in Springfield. No names are being released at this hour. Families have been notified.

"We are working closely with the families and soldiers, and are doing everything we can for them," says Maj. Spicer. "They're in our prayers."

The incident is now under investigation.
