Elton John has canceled his next three shows.
The 65-year old singer is recovering after being hospitalized with a serious respiratory infection.
He reportedly became ill last weekend when performing in Las Vegas.
His doctor is recommending he rest and not perform for a week.
John released a statement telling his fans he was sorry he could not be with them.

"American Idol" winner Phillip Phillips had been waging a behind-the-scenes battle with kidney stones.
His father tells People.com the 21-year-old suffered a build-up of kidney stones, and underwent eight operations during the run of the show.
He's scheduled for another surgery soon, but is expected to make a full recovery in time for the "Idols Live" tour.
Phillips' dad says they can't wait see how he performs when he's 100-percent healthy.

Sharon Stone's former nanny has filed a lawsuit against the actress.
The woman, who's Filipina, worked as a live-in nanny for Stone for more than four years. She claims she was fired for refusing to give back overtime pay Stone told her she didn't deserve. The suit also accuses Stone of making derogatory comments about her ethnicity.
Stone calls the lawsuit "absurd," and says it was filed by a "disgruntled ex-employee" looking for money.
