(Terre Haute, IN)--The Missouri State Bears opened a critical Valley series Thursday night in Terre Haute.
The Bears need to win in order to win the regular season championship and get the top seed in next week's tourney.
Missouri State's Nick Petree came into the game with a record 38 and 1/3rd scoreless innings.
But that came to an end in the first, Jeremy Lucas singles to center, Landon Curry, scores it's 1-nothing.
Sycamores up 3-nothing in the third when Brent Siefert singles to center, Kevin Medrano slides across, Eric Cheray scored as well 3-2.
Then in the fourth, Cheray doubles to left, Dylan Becker scores and we're all tied up at three.
Indiana State retakes the lead and then seals the deal in the eighth, Lucas shoots this to right, it drops in just fair, Kyle Burnam scores 5-3.
And the Sycamores hand the Bears their third straight loss, 6-3 and Indiana State wins the Valley championship.
