(Lamar, MO)--There is a warning out this morning about a scam in southwest Missouri.
The Barton County Sheriff says a group of seven men have been posing as an asphalt company.
The name of their company is not very original-- it's called "Asphalt Paving".
So far, they've managed to scam $30,000 from area families.
The sheriff says the scammers charge a large amount of money-- to pave less than an inch of asphalt on driveways.
He believes the men are targeting older residents.
One of them men is already in custody.
