Spring Planting Festival Focuses on Food

(Mansfield, MO) -- Thousands of visitors are expected to visit Bakersville Pioneer Village for the 12th annual Spring Planting Festival near Mansfield, Missouri.

There are around 120 vendors with plants and all types of crafts and several music stages.

The event is kid friendly and has activities such as egg and spoon races, potato sac races and more.

The two-day event features a full line up of national food, farm and garden speakers.

Admission is $5. Kids younger than 16 are free to get in.

The festival will wrap up Monday evening.

This year's theme for speakers is "The Pure Food Fight", according to the website.
