Ava Woman Killed in Crash in Douglas County

A woman from Ava, Missouri is dead after a crash in Douglas County.
The Missouri Highway Patrol says it happened early Thursday, 12 miles east of Ava on Highwya 76.
Troopers say Joy Stainbrooks, 65, was driving when her car left the road, hit a tree and turned over.
Stainbrooks was thrown out. She was not wearing a seatbelt and died at the scene.
