(Springfield, MO) -- Absentee ballots are ready for voters in Greene County who won't be able to get to the polls for the June 5th election.
Greene County Clerk Richard Struckhoff says it will be a small election with only the City of Springfield, the Pleasant View Fire Protection District and the City of Fair Grove having issues on the ballot.
Springfield voters will decide whether or not to repeal the smoking ban approved one year ago. The Pleasant View Fire Protection District has a 50-cent tax levy increase on the ballot. And voters in Fair Grove will decide a sales tax.
You can cast an absentee ballot in the County Clerk's office at the Greene County courthouse until Monday, June 4th.
You can also cast an absentee ballot by mail, but you have to send a request to the Clerk's office by 5:00 p.m. on May 30.
