Arkansas Man Drowns in Crown Lake After Kayak Capsizes

Deputies were called to the lake shortly after getting the report and learned that the other man had been rescued, but Dickey was still missing.
Sheriff Tate Lawrence says strong winds made for rough conditions on the water, which hampered the search and rescue mission.
A dive team was joined by crews from Independence County, Hardy police, the Department Water Rescue unit, officers of the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission, and the 16th Judicial District Drug Task Force
Due to stormy conditions, the recovery effort was suspended late Sunday, but resume Monday morning. Dickey's body was around 7:45 a.m. Monday after dragging operations were resumed.
