Grilled Gourmet Burgers
Chef Marty Lowry - Hy-Vee

4-8 Hy-Vee Gourmet Burgers any flavor
1 pack Hy-Vee fresh baked buns
Lettuce, tomato, thin onion, and/or other fresh ingredients like avocado
Premium condiments like top shelf bb-q sauce, good quality mustards, and/ or flavored mayo
Salt and pepper to taste

Heat the grill up on medium high to high. Try to create two temperature zones one very hot direct heat to brown the burgers on sides then an indirect heat area like an upper rack or one side of the grill where there is no charcoal or burner turned on.

Season the burgers with salt and pepper then place on the high heat to brown them well on both sides then put them on the indirect heat area and roast them with the lid down for 8-12 minutes or until they are medium well.

Toast the buns and assemble the burger to make your own gourmet burger combination with your selections of toppings and condiments.
