Crash Prompts Evacuation of Daycare

Some tense moments this afternoon as a Springfield church evacuates its daycare during a gas leak.
It happened on the city's south side at the intersection of Holly and Meadow just off Battlefield Road.
That's where two cars clipped each other sending one vehicle crashing into a house where church offices are located.
No one was inside, but when gas started leaking, teachers at the church day school quickly evacuated children.
Utility crews were able to get the gas shut off without any problems. No one was injured in the wreck.
