Best of 417 Party

Hundreds of people came out today to sample the best of the Ozarks.
Many people showed up for the annual "Best of 417" magazine party this afternoon.
In its fourth year, the event gives readers a chance to taste the best that area restaurants serve up.
In addition to all of that food and drink, proceeds from today's party will go to four childrens charities in the Ozarks.
Those at the party say they're happy to see what's out there.
Partygoer Brenda Tunstill says,"I think the one thing it does, it gives you a better idea of what's here locally and you don't have to go to St. Louis, you don't have to go to Kansas City, or Chicago. There's lots of good things here, locally."
417 Magazine Publisher Gary Whitaker added, "so it's a way for the readers of 417 to not only sample the best, but to contribute to the charities, and the charities get a big donation out of the day."
Our own Joy Robertson and Ted Keller got top nods for television personalities on that list.
