While many across the Ozarks remain in shelters, some are still choosing to pay for a place to stay.
The Springfield Convention and Visitor's Bureau reports about 275 of 6,000 hotel rooms are now open within the city.
While that shows a good number of people are returning home, calls from those seeking lodging still come in at about 30 every hour, and some rooms are booked through week's end.
The Bureau has coordinated a central calling location for that very reason.
For Springfield room availability, call the Convention & Visitors Bureau between 8:00am and 6:00pm seven days a week at 417-881-5300.
Once connected, dial 0.
Springfield hotels are asked to call the CVB or Clarion Hotel during the hours above when rooms become available so they are added to the list for referrals.
