Generator Shipments Expected Tuesday

Home supply stores are packed with people trying to by propane, kerosene and, of course, generators.  Additional shipments are expected today.

KOLR10 News found a few generators Monday at Home Depot, but all were spoken for even before they arrived.

Several stores had been taking reservations if you went there in person. But on Monday morning, it was all a game of numbers.

Here’s how it played out.  A Home Depot employee announced, "We're getting one truck load guys and what we're doing is we're calling numbers. So if you just would wait in line when we call your number we'll give you the opportunity to buy a generator and a gas can at the same time."

The Home Depot expected a truck of generators late Monday night, so it'll do the same number process when the store opens Tuesday morning.

Lowe's in south Springfield is also expecting a truck of generators Monday night.  If it does arrive, it will sell the generators.  You’re asked to call the store and press zero to see if the shipment comes in.

Meantime, Sutherlands is expecting a truck of generators by Tuesday.  Also, Crosscut in Marshfield along with CHC in Rogersville should have another shipment early Tuesday morning.
