Cassville One Step Closer to Three-Peat

(Cassville, Mo. --) Cassville football. It's a term that has grown in meaning over the last few years.
The small school has won two straight class three titles.
And on their way? They've defeated Rogersville in the quarterfinals both times.
Well that's who was in town Saturday. Cassville looking for its 27th straight win.
Rogersville took an early 6-0 lead when Evan Gruener found Dylan Cole for a touchdown.
But three minutes later, Cassville's RickyNichols faked the hand off and kept the ball for a score to make it 6-6.
In the second quarter Trenton Tanner ran it in on a sweep for Cassville to give them a 13-6 lead at the half.
Late in the third quarter Tanner ripped off a nice run to the Rogersville 40.
That set up a Nichols to Bo Blisard connection in the fourth as Cassville went on to win 20-6, and thinking three-peat.
David Large/Cassville Coach: "Our goal is to get back. And any way we look at it. That's what this group of kids wants to do. If we don't make it we'll be disappointed. It's not gonna mean it wasn't a great year. That's kinda their mentality. They want another shot again. Just to prove themselves."
