(Webster Co., MO) -- More than 3-hundred people filled Ozark Raceway Park for the third annual Jacob Yates Memorial Drag Race.
Jacob was killed in a car accident and his parents say after his death they learned he had been helping a number of kids in school.
As a way to remember him and give back, with the money raised tonight they donate money to 14 different school districts in four counties. The money is used to help kids to do stuff like joins clubs and even get glasses.
"At the time of his accident it was old faded red. It had a vinyl black top and he loved to drag race. That's why we do a memorial race, but we tried to fix it up the way we knew Jake wanted it done, so we put the pretty red and got it fixed up the way he wanted it done," Jacob's parents Cheri and Steve Bowden said.
There were 7 different classes races tonight and even a memorial lap by Jacob's red car. For more information on this cause, click here. www.4jake.Org
