(Washington, DC)  --  The news related to the H1N1 flu pandemic continues to be encouraging.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's Dr. Anne Schuchat says with over 96-million doses of vaccine available, there should be no problem getting a flu shot.

Additionally, there is evidence that the current wave of flu illness continues to subside, with only 14 states reporting widespread flu illness.

Surgeon General Dr. Regina Benjamin says about five out of six Americans have not been infected with the H1N1 flu and that points out the fact that this is exactly the right time to get vaccinated.

She says the incidence of flu illness will continue to go down as more people become vaccinated.
