Central Named Among the Best

(Springfield, MO) -- A Springfield high school is named one of the top schools in the nation.
Newsweek magazine names Central High School one of 1,500 outstanding schools in 2009.
Central ranks 1,254 on the list.
The rankings are decided by the number of advanced placement, International Baccalaureate or Cambridge tests taken by students.
Springfield public schools is the only school district in southwest Missouri to have one of its high schools named to the list.
