Group Unveils Hyatt Disaster Memorial

(Kansas City) -- Organizers of a memorial to those killed and injured in the 1981 Hyatt Hotel skywalk collapse have unveiled plans to the Kansas City park board.
Yesterday, officials with the Skywalk Memorial Foundation presented a design for a 36-foot diameter memorial and garden to be built in a park near the hotel.
More than 100 people died when three suspended walkways fell on a crowd at a New Years Eve dance at the hotel.
